Denver’s City Park turned into a vibrant sea of patriotism on Saturday, November 8, 2025, as the city celebrated the 16th Annual Denver Veterans Day Parade and Festival.
Hosted by the Colorado Veterans Project, the event paid tribute to military veterans from all branches, highlighting the courage and dedication of local heroes.
The festivities kicked off with the Denver Veterans Day Run, which included spirited 5K and 10K races and the meaningful 10K Rippetoe Rucksack Challenge, honoring Army Captain Russell Brian Rippetoe, an Arvada native lost in 2003.
Families, children, and even canine companions joined in, reflecting the community’s united support.
The parade at 10:30 a.m. included ROTC units, veterans groups, classic cars, and high school cadets—especially George Washington High School’s ROTC, bridging generations of service.
